American farmers work hard all year round to produce the food you eat every day. In fact, the average American farmer today feeds about 155 people per year.
This is one of the reasons why we are joining country music superstar Luke Bryan for the second straight year to bring his annual farm tour to eight towns across the U.S. Bryan, the son of a peanut farmer from Georgia, launched the tour in 2009 as a way to highlight and celebrate the contribution America’s farmers make in putting food on tables in the United States and throughout the world.
We are also highlighting our #Thankful4Ag campaign, which encourages YOU to share why you are thankful for agriculture and help feed families facing hunger. Last year, Luke Bryan and his fans helped us provide over 300,000 meals to families across America — this year’s goal is 500,000 meals.
So join us — share why you are #Thankful4Ag on Twitter or Instagram and share a meal.
